Sumo Nottingham and Gun Media have today revealed that Ed Neal, who played the Hitchhiker in the original 1974 horror classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, will be reprising his role in the upcoming game.

The announcement follows the recent news that horror legend Kane Hodder, best known for his portrayal of Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th franchise, will be joining the cast to play Leatherface.

Ross Tregenza, Lead Audio Designer on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre at Sumo Nottingham, said: “It’s been important to us to not only create a faithful representation of the world of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre for players to explore, but also to include details which pay tribute to the original film for horror lovers and die-hard fans to recognise.

“Working with Ed and Kane on their recordings has been a fantastic experience, both of them have brought their all to the game and are excited to see how audiences will respond!”
