Sumo Nottingham was founded in 2016 and has since grown to a team just shy of 100 developers. We've made our mark working with acclaimed partners and franchises, such as SEGA’s Sonic IP and Turn 10’s Forza franchise. Alongside our co-development work, our team has just begun development on the studios first original IP.
Proudly located in Castle Marina Business Park, we're a stone's throw away from the lively and historic Nottingham City Centre. We can't wait to show you around!

The Sumo Nottingham team is made up of some of the top veteran developers in the industry, working closely alongside up-and-coming game development talent. We’ve a wide range of genre experience, with our specialism lying in first/third person action/shooters and driving titles.
It’s our vision to craft AAA games with innovation, character and accessibility at their very core, and to build the next generation of talent while doing so.

We’re just a mile outside the City Centre, ten minutes walk from the train station, with good tram and bus links. The Nottingham Cycle Superhighway is also on our doorstep
Nottingham is a bustling, busy city of nightlife, culture, sport and has a diverse offering of bars hidden down alleyways, under pavements, indie hotspots, cosy pubs and cocktail bars.
Trent Bridge International Cricket ground, the National Ice Centre, the National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham Forest and Notts County football grounds are all within walking distance of the studio.
We’re a cultured lot and we like to get our fix at the Theatre Royal, Royal Concert Hall and the world renowed Nottingham Playhouse where some of our greatest actors got their starts.
We are so lucky that Nottingham is surrounded by glorious countryside. To the North, we are only and quick journey away from the majestic Peak District and the beautiful Vale of Belvoir sits to the East of the City. We hope you love Nottingham as much as we do.
