Graphics Programmer at Sumo Digital, Nottingham.

We are looking for an Unreal Engine Graphics Programmer where you will be responsible for the delivery and integration of robust graphical features and associated engine and pipeline functionality, in collaboration with our multi-disciplined development teams, working on a wide variety of projects and tasks, contributing to the development of high-quality performant graphic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement well-engineered, reliable, scalable, and maintainable code across a wide variety of projects.
  • Follow best practices, development processes, documentation, and coding standards.
  • Devise innovative solutions to overcome platform constraints.
  • Investigate bugs or issues in the graphics system when encountered.
  • Mentor less experienced coders in your area of expertise, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Assist in planning your work.
  • Key Requirements:

  • Experience working on multiple titles.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of graphics systems/processes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills.
  • Strong knowledge of a modern graphics API e.g. DX12 or Vulkan.
  • Strong working knowledge of shader languages.
  • Strong 3d math and problem solving skills.
  • Broad knowledge of graphics pipeline, GPU architecture and graphics techniques.
  • Knowledge of profiling tools (e.g. PIX, VTune, Render Doc etc).
  • A passion for graphics, games and games technology.
